3rd-party data sources overview
The bring-your-own-API-key model, and what's Premium-only.
Beyond the built-in country, MCC, and NAICS rules, Salescheck.io can pull in results from four optional 3rd-party compliance data providers. Each one is configured on its own card on the Integrations page, and each covers a different kind of check.
The four providers
| Provider | What it checks |
|---|---|
| OpenCorporates | KYB (Know Your Business) — looks up a company in official registries and reports whether it exists and its status: active, inactive, or dissolved. |
| Sanctions.io | Screens a company or entity name against global sanctions and crime lists. |
| ComplyAdvantage | Screens a company or entity name against sanctions lists, PEP (Politically Exposed Person) lists, and adverse media coverage. |
| TRM Labs | Screens a blockchain wallet address against sanctions lists — the one provider aimed at crypto/PSP customers rather than company names. |
Bring your own API key
Every provider works the same way: it's bring-your-own-API-key, not OAuth. You need your own paid subscription or account with the provider — Salescheck.io never provides that access itself. It only uses the API key or token you paste in to run lookups on your behalf, against your own provider quota and contract.
Premium plan only
3rd-party data sources are a Premium plan feature. On the Basic plan, the Integrations page shows an "Unlock 3rd-party data sources" upgrade prompt instead of the provider cards. Built-in country/MCC/NAICS scoring is unaffected either way.
Next steps
- Set up a provider: OpenCorporates, Sanctions.io, ComplyAdvantage, or TRM Labs.
- Once connected, see Mapping provider signals to risk categories to make a provider actually affect scoring.
