Connecting ComplyAdvantage
Where to find your ComplyAdvantage API Key and connect it to Salescheck.io.
This step can only be done by a user with the Admin or Compliance role in
Salescheck.io. You'll need your own ComplyAdvantage contract - Salescheck.io only uses your existing key to run lookups
on your behalf.
Important: ComplyAdvantage runs two different products. Salescheck.io's integration is built against
the classic Search API (a single static API key, used as-is). ComplyAdvantage's newer platform,
Mesh, uses a completely different login flow (an org "realm" plus a username/password exchanged
for a short-lived token) and will not work here. Check with your ComplyAdvantage account manager
which product your contract covers before connecting - if you were onboarded onto Mesh, this integration isn't
compatible yet.
What this connects
ComplyAdvantage screens a company or entity name against sanctions lists, PEP (Politically Exposed Person)
lists, and adverse media coverage. It's triggered whenever a lookup or CRM record includes a company name.
Steps
1
Log in to your ComplyAdvantage platform
Use the account and login URL provided when your contract was set up.
2
Find your API Key
In the classic platform, your API key is generated from within the web platform's account/API settings area.
If you can't find it, ask your ComplyAdvantage account manager directly - the exact menu location isn't
publicly documented and can vary by contract.
3
Paste it into Salescheck.io
In Salescheck.io, go to Integrations, find the ComplyAdvantage card, paste the key into the
API Key field, and click Connect.
4
Map signals to risk categories
Once connected, map "Sanctions match", "PEP match", and "Adverse media match" to
whatever categories match your risk appetite - typically Red or Yellow. "No match" is usually left
unmapped.
We don't verify the key until it's actually used for a lookup - a bad, expired, or wrong-product key just causes
that provider's check to be skipped for that lookup; local rule-based scoring keeps working regardless.
