Bulk-importing rules
Upload many rules at once from a CSV or XLSX file.
If you already track your risk list in a spreadsheet, the import wizard loads it in one pass instead of
re-typing every rule by hand. It works for the Country,
MCC, and NAICS rule types — one file per type.
Steps
A CSV or XLSX file with a header row and a column for each of: the match value (country, MCC, or NAICS code), the risk category name, and, optionally, the reason and priority you want that rule to carry. The category name in your file has to match an existing risk category exactly — set those up first if you haven't.
On the Rules tab, pick the type you're importing (Country, MCC, or NAICS), then click Import CSV/XLSX.
Select your CSV or Excel file. It's parsed in your browser, so nothing is sent to Salescheck.io until you confirm the import.
Match each of your file's headers to the fields the wizard expects (match value, category, reason). It tries to guess sensible defaults from your header names, but check them — a wrong mapping will import into the wrong field.
The wizard shows a preview of the first few mapped rows and flags any category name it doesn't recognize. Rows referencing an unknown category will block the import until you either fix the file or create the missing category.
Click Import. Existing rules for a match value already in your file are updated; new match values create new rules. You'll see a count of how many rows were imported, plus any row-level errors.
Limits
- File size: up to 10 MB.
- Row count: up to 20,000 data rows per file — split larger lists across multiple imports.
- PDF files aren't supported — export to CSV or Excel first.
