Connecting Pipedrive

How to link Salescheck.io to your Pipedrive account and show the compliance score directly on Organization and Deal records.

This step can only be done by a user with the Admin role in Salescheck.io. You'll also need permission to install apps in your Pipedrive account.

What happens after you connect

Salescheck.io automatically creates two new fields in Pipedrive - Compliance Score and Compliance Reason - on both the Deal and Organization objects. You don't need to set these up manually.

Connection steps

1
In Salescheck.io, go to the CRM tab

In the top navigation, click CRM, then click the Connect Pipedrive button.

2
Log in to Pipedrive and approve access

You'll be redirected to Pipedrive, which will show what Salescheck.io is requesting access to (reading/writing Deals and Organizations). Approve the request.

3
Done

You'll be redirected back to Salescheck.io, and you'll see "Pipedrive connected" next to Pipedrive. From this point on, every newly created Deal and Organization is automatically scored and written back to Pipedrive.

How country is determined

Pipedrive's default Organization fields include a country (part of the address). Salescheck.io reads that directly for Organization scoring. A Deal doesn't carry a country field of its own - it's linked to an Organization, so when a Deal is created, Salescheck.io automatically follows that link and scores the Deal using its linked Organization's country.

If your Organization country isn't stored on the default address field - or you want industry-based rules too, which Pipedrive has no default field for - open the Field mapping section under Pipedrive in the CRM tab. It shows a live list of every field on your Organizations (including custom ones) so you can point Country and/or Industry at the right one. A Deal always inherits whatever its linked Organization resolves to, so you only need to set this once, on the Organization.

Country-based rules work out of the box even without any field mapping, since Pipedrive's default address field covers it. Industry-based rules need a mapped field first - there's no default to fall back to.

Showing the field on a record

New fields don't automatically appear on the main record card in Pipedrive - that's standard Pipedrive behavior for any new custom field. To see them directly on the Deal/Organization overview, add them to the detail view once:

1.Open any Deal (or Organization).
2.In the details panel, click Edit fields (pencil icon) or the field-visibility settings.
3.Add the Compliance Score and Compliance Reason fields to the layout.
4.Save.

The fields can also be used outside the detail view - in list columns, filters, and reports, just like any other Pipedrive field.

What the values mean

🟢 Green - no flags found 🟡 Yellow - needs attention 🔴 Red - high risk ⚪ Unknown - not enough data

Green means "no geography/industry red flags found" - not that the company is confirmed clean. Unknown means the basic input (country) was missing, so no score was computed at all.

The score is currently computed only once - at the moment a Deal/Organization is created in Pipedrive. If you later change the country on an existing record, the score is not automatically recalculated.

Disconnecting

In the CRM tab, click Disconnect next to Pipedrive. This only deletes the stored access token - the Compliance Score/Reason fields created in your Pipedrive stay in place.
