Salescheck.io glossary

Rules, risk categories, lookups, seats, and other terms, defined in one place.

TermDefinition
Rule A configuration entry of type country, MCC, or NAICS that maps a specific match value (e.g. a country code) to a Risk category. Each rule has a priority and a reason template used to explain the score.
Risk category A named, colored tier - such as Green, Yellow, or Red - that rules and 3rd-party signals map onto. Risk categories are defined per organization and can be renamed, recolored, or added to.
Lookup / Score A single evaluation of a lead, company, or organization against your rules and any connected data sources, producing a final tier (or Unknown).
Score tester An in-app tool for manually running a lookup with values you type in yourself, so you can verify your rules behave as expected before relying on them in the CRM.
Worst tier wins The logic used to produce a final verdict when multiple rules or signals match: every match is evaluated, and the single worst tier among them becomes the result.
Seat A billable user account on your Salescheck.io plan. Billing is seat-based across the Basic and Premium plans.
Compliance access An admin-granted flag on a Member account that unlocks the otherwise Admin-only compliance pages (Risk categories, Rules, Audit log) without granting full Admin rights.
Audit log A record of changes and lookups within the compliance section of the app, used to track who changed what and when.
Trial The 14-day period every new account starts on by default, running on the Basic plan, before you choose a paid plan.
MCC Merchant category code - a standardized four-digit code describing the type of business a company operates. Used as one of the inputs for country/MCC/NAICS rules.
NAICS North American Industry Classification System - a standardized industry code, used the same way as MCC as an input to rules.
